WAIROA RUGBY
MATCH WITH P.B. SUB-UNION'S REQUEST (SpocLl to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. The Wairoa County Rugby SubUnion has decided to write to tin Poverty Bay Rugby Union suggesting a return senior representative fixture and a request also is being forwarded lo the Hawke’s Bay union for a team to visit Wairoa. At a meeting of the sub-union this week several members commented on the talking while on the field of third grade players, and in future the referees will take whatever action is necessary to put a stop to this undesirable practice. The chief attraction on the King’s Day will be Eastern v. Western, and the curtain-raiser a third gradefixture between High School and Takitimu. The fourth grade competition for schoolboys will start shortly, and will be controlled by the Teachers’ Institute. .The following is the draw for tomorrow.—Seniors; Takitimu v. Whakaki, at Takitimu, 2.45 p.m., referee Mr. C. O. Mackay; Nuhaka v. Athletic, at Nuhaka, 2.45 p.m., referee Mr. E. H. Halstead. Third Grade; Takitimu v. Athletic, at Takitimu, 1.30 p.m., referee Mr, M. G. Mackay; Scouts v. High School, at Lambton Square, 2 p.m., referee Mr. N. Turfrey.
