POWER BOARD -POLICY - CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED EIGHTEENTH TERM “The fact that so many of the fitting members of the board were returned at the recent election is an j indication, I think, that the public and the consumers are satisfied with I the policy of the board, and with itsI administration, said Mr. F. R. Ball, acknowledging his return to the office; ;of chairman of the Poverty Bay Electric- Power Board at the annual | meeting to-day. “No chairman could have a more co-operative group of members to work with," he continued. “Since the inception of the board in 1926, there have been occasional changes in the personnel at the board table, but invariably we have been able to> maintain an atmosphere of reasonable discussion of all our problems: During my successive terms as chairman, I have had the most willing support, which I feel I must acknowledge.”
Mr. Ball to-day entered upon his eighteenth term as chairman of the board. His nomination, offered by Mr. M. T. Trafforcl and seconded by. Mr. Chas. Matthews, was the only one received, and was adopted by acclamation. His nominator* and seconder paid warm tributes to Mr. Ball’s services and leadership.
