Pretty Wedding

Pepper—Burch Decorations of richly-tinted autumn flowers provided a picturesque setting at Holy Trinity Church, Derby street, on Saturday, April 19. for the marriage of Zona Dodson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, B. Burch, Pouawa, to Thomas Samson Pepper, Tangoio, Hawke's Bay, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. Pepper. Tangoio. Canon A. F. Hall performed the ceremony, and Mr. D. G. Dyer presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father looked charming in a. model gown of white embossed georgette mounted on matching satin. The bodice showing a V-shaped neckline and a row of tiny satin buttons down the back was accented with satin panels and tulle flowers continuing over the shoulders to the waistline. The long closely-moulded sleeves were banded with satin and pointed over the hands. Unusual panelling and satin streamers falling from the waist were features of the skirt which swept into a graceful train. Her beautifully embroidered veil, which was worn over the face on entering the church, fell in soft folds from a top-knot of white chrysanthemums to form a second train. The bride added a family heirloom, a gold cross suspended on a slender chain and carried an exquisite shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums, roses and carnations intermingled with maidenhair fern.
