MAYORS UNOPPOSED
WELLINGTON BOROUGHS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Mayor of Petone, Mr. G. London and the Mayor of Eastbourne, Mr. E. W. Wise, have been returned to their respective positions unopposed in the ciVic elections. MAYOR’S RECORD TERM (Per Press Association.) HOKITIKA, this day. Little interest was shown in the municipal elections at Hokitika. For the Mayoralty, Mr. George Perry was re-elected, this assuring him of a record term -of 30 years. There will be no election for other positions. In the Westland county Cr. Barnard Ward retired after many years’ service. There arc three nominations for two seats for the Arahura riding. The others -were elected.
