Rabbit Board Reports

Twenty-eight rabbits were killed on tlie outskirts of the East Coast Rabbit Board’s district during February, according to reports read at a meeting of tlie board on Friday. The inspector stationed at Whakatane, Mr. H. A. Burgess, reported that 12 rabbits were killed in his area in the following localities:—Mr. Lamont’s, 5; Kopuriki, 2; Galatea estate, 1; Murapara. 2: sandhills, 2. Mr. T. R. England, subinspector, Wairoa, reported a total ot 16 in the following places: Waihua Hill, 1; Mohaka pa, 3; Mohaka native lands, 1; Putere, 3; Waireka, 2; Mr. S. Mitchell, 3; Oloi, 2; Woodlands. 10. Those present at the meeting were Mr. E. M. Hutchinson, chairman, Messrs. M. T. TrafTord, C. G. Holdsworth, E. M. Monckton, M. L. Holden, and Mr. F. R. Bould, representing the Department of Agriculture.
