OBITUARY
Constable P. J. O’Brien, who has been in charge of the St, John's police station, Wanganui, since 1924, died at the week-end. Before coming to New Zealand in 1910, Constable O'Brien was a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary. He was one of the special bodyguard when King Edward visited Ireland in 1893. He joined the New Zealand police in Wellington in 1910.
