GISBORNE HIGH SCHOOL KEEN INTEREST TAKEN BREASTSTROKE RECORD ■ The annual swimming sports of the Gisborne High School were conducted in the school baths yesterday afternoon before a large attendance of pupils, parents and friends. The long programme was capably supervised by the teachers and Mr. H. L. Le Bas gave his assistance as starter. All the events were closely contested, the championships creating especially interesting racing. Only one record was broken during the afternoon, this being by N. McCallum, who bfoke his record created last year in the 60 2-3 yd. breastroke. His new time was 52 2-ssec., compared with the previous record of 63 2-ssec.
