CONTROL OF LABOUR
ESSENTIAL WAR WORK (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, March 7. The Minister of Labour, Mr. Ernest Bevin, lias made an order for the purpose of preventing loss of production in factories engaged on essential war work by an unnecessary labour turnover or absentees. It provides that in the case of employees classed as doing “essential work,” the right of the management to discharge workers or of workers to leave will be strictly controlled.
