LONDON LOOKS BACK SUCCESSIVE NIGHT RAIDS (Reed. March 8. 9 a.m.) LONDON, March, 7. It is six months to-day since the blitz began against London. The “alerts” have lasted 1286 hours, the longest, raid last 14 hours four minutes with almost continual bombing. The shortest “alert” was nine minutes. There were either day or night warning daily between August 23 and December 1 with 57 consecutive night raids.
