Wairoa Wedding

O’Malley—Brownlie The marriage was solemnised in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wairoa, yesterday afternoon of Nui Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. ,T. * O’Malley, Pio Pio, King Country, to Ethel Dorothy, elder daughter of Mr. James Brownlie, “Pakowhai,” Frasertown, Wairoa. The Rev. Father (Captain) J. L. Kingan, Trentham military camp, officiated at the ceremony. The bridegroom is on leave from Burnham camp. Mrs. M. Stairmand presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was frocked in burnt orange kasha cloth smartly trimmed with fawn collar and cuffs, with dark brown hat and accessories. Her shoulder spray was of mixed autumn-tinted flowers. The only bridesmaid, Miss Fay Brownlie, sister of the bride, wore a tailored gown of green wool georgette and white turban. The best man was Mr. R. J. Brownlie, brother of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. O’Malley left later for the South Island, where the honeymoon will be spent.
