MAJESTIC THEATRE LAST DAY: “INVISIBLE STRIPES” AND “TWO-FISTED RANGERS” “Invisible Stripes,” concluding tonight at the Majestic Theatre, and starring George Raft, Jane Bryan and Humphrey Bogart, is the story of several people, their destiny inexorably bound by invisible ties. The crook who wanted to go straight—but. who couldn’t . . . The girl who promised to wait but didn’t! The mother who tried to guide her sons — but couldn’t. —It definitely is a picture that packs every kind of thrill! The associate features are a musical western. ‘Two-Fisted Rangers,” 'and the “Dead 2nd Kids’” serial. “Junior G-Men."

—Monday: Ann Sherida n in “It AI! Came True,” and “Courageous Dr. Christian”—

One of the oddest collections of characters ever assembled for a film will appear at. the Majestic Theatre on Monday in “It All Came True,” Which itself is a most unusual picture. Louis Brumfield, author of “The Rains Came," wrote the story, which tells of the effect of the arrival of a fugitive New York gangster in a boarding-house conducted by two aged ladies and occupied by many queer but harmless people. Ann Sheridan, vivacious and impetuous as ever, plays the heroine's role, as the daughter of one of the landladies, and she and Jeffrey Lynn, as the son of the other Old lady, provide the romantic interest. The strength of the film is conveyed by those who, in an ordinary picture, would portray the minor parts. In “It All Came True” much of the Success of the story depends on them. The film caters for all tastes, combining, without any incongruity, romance, excitement and music, by the simple method of having the gangster, tired of hiding in a boarding-house room, turn the place into a night-club. It is a splendid film. “The Courageous Dr. Christian,” the associate feature, is an even more entertaining film than the first of the popular series. As before, Jean Hersholt enacts a kindly small town doctor, whose life is dedicated to helping the people of River’s Eitd. That part of Dr. Christian is perfect for the talents of the great character •actor, and in this new offering his studied delineation adds solidly to the play’s conviction. Patrons are advised that owing to the length of the programme, the serial will commence at • 7.30 pan.
