Mitre Peak was climbed on February 21 by Mr. E. Williams, of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club, and Mr. .T. Ede, of the Linwood Rover Scouts. The ascent was made in 11 hours from sea level at Sinbad Gully, in perfect weather. This is the second ascent made by Mr. Williams in 27 years,
