SIR F. BANTING’S DEATH MESSAGE TO CANADA (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Feb. 28. The Dominions Secretary, Viscount Cranborne, sent a telegram to the Gpvernor-General of Canada, the Earl of Athlone, regarding the death of the medical scientist, Sir Frederick Banting, who was killed in a plane crash while en route to Britain, deploring his loss to Canada and medical science particularly in such distressing circumstances. “Our,cordial sympathy goes out to the' Government and people of Canada,” states Viscount Cranborne.
