AMERICAN EFFORT IMPLEMENTS OF WAR MR. BULLITT EMPHATIC WARNINGS REPEATED (Elfec. Tel. Copyright—United Press-Assn.) (Reed. Feb. 28, 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON,. Feb. 27. The former United States Ambassador to ; France, Mr. W. C. Bullitt, in a speech to the Overseas Press Club, said: "Britain has done far better than anyone had reason to believe she would be able to do while the United States have done worse. “We should be producing every implement of war which the British, Chinese and Greeks need with the same speed as if we were at war. We are doing nothing of the kind. We are just making efforts that are not over-troublesome. National Emergency “If we cannot get production at war 1 speed without it, then I favour an immediate declaration of a national emergency. “There cannot be peace without vic- . tory. The world will either be direct- ; ed from Berlin or from London and ’ Washington.
“If the British win there will be a chance that the world for. the first time may be organised for peace.
“Stalin, quaking in his Kremlin, is too weak, morally and physically, to win even a jackal’s victory over corpses.”
