AMERICAN EULOGY
AUSTRALIAN WAR EFFORT “READY FOR THE TEST” (Reed. Feb. 28, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 27. The magazine Life to-day publishes an eight page illustrated article on Australia’s war effort, stating that Australia has done by far the best job among the democracies in rearming. She had passed India in munitions output and is overhauling Canada. The article concludes strikingly: “These far-away people are in a hot spot nearest the scene of Japanese expansion toward Singapore._ Australians are ready for the test.”
