EASTER CAMP
WOMEN’S AUXILIARY HOME GUARD TRAINING Facilities for the training of defence and emergency units on borough domains were granted by the Gisborne Borough Council last night, sitting as the Makaraka and Victoria domain boards, 'J'he Women’s Auxiliary Corps was granted permission to hold an Easter camp on the Park Domain, together with the use of rooms in the stand and kitchen facilities, and the motor camping site for the pitching of tents if the weather was suitable. The Home Guard was given permission to use the Victoria Domain on any but Thursday nights as an additional training area, the Gisborne Home Guard Committee having written that the Childers Road Reserve was inadequate for training purposes. The Home Guard Committee would be responsible for the lighting.
