Lawes has always championed the rights of one-time losers to return to good citizenship after 'learning their lesson behind prison walls and it is this theme which (underlies the stirring dramatic story bf “Invisible Stripes,” now at the Majestic Theatre. George Raft playt the role of the convict trying to go straight and Humphrey Bogart i; ithe criminal who realises that there j 5 no hoDe for the man who wears invisible stripes. William Holden, jthe star, discovery of “Golden Boy,” plays the young brother, and Jane Bryan plays the boy’s sweetheart, later his wife. Flora Robson, a prominent English star of stage and screen, Plays the work-worn mother of' the two boys, Lee Patrick is. the hardboiled sweetheart of Bogart, and ivlargot Stevenson is the girl who ]r or Raft but refuses to marry him because he is an ex-convict. The: associate feature, "Two-Fisted Rangers,” is an action-packed musical western, starring Charles Starrett. The serial is “Junior G-Men,” starring the (•Dead End Kids.” A bargain family matinee will be presented at 1.30 p.m. [to-morrow.
