MAJESTIC THEATRE
“GOLD RUSH MAISIE” AND “LITTLE ORVIE” “Gold Rush Maisie” is a very amusing comedy, in which Ann Sothern. who characterises the stranded showgirl With a whiplash tongue and the heart of gold as no one else can, returns to her familiar and. popular role. She lands in a ghost town, which comes to life temporarily because of an overnight gold strike. But the gold does not quite pan out. Lee Bowman is in the male lead as a young rancher who has bebome a virtual desert hermit.. It takes Maisie to thaw him out. The associate feature is Booth Tarkington’S delightful comedy of youth, “Little Orvie,” starring young John Sheffield, who will be remembered as the ‘ So.i of Tarzan ” The serial is “Wild Bill Hicock."
