Hangaroa Mounted Home Guard
At a meeting in the Tahuriga woolshed it was decided to form a mounted uit of the Home Guard in the Flangaroa district. The meeting was attended by 16 residents, Mr. P. H. Sherratt being in the chair. After some ( discussion the chairman was appointed as instructor to the unit, and it tvaS arranged to hold parades every fortnight. All of those present enrolled, arid it is expected that bV the time the first paralde is held there will be over 20 active members.
