MARIST LEAD, CITY E. H. DOW TOP-SCORES MCLEAN’S CHEAP WICKETS; A confident knock by E. H. Dow, who recently returned from abroad, was the feature of the first day’s play between City and Marist in the Poverty Bay Cricket Association’s Senior A Grade competition on Saturday. Dow made 64, his innings including one string of three fours, and another of four fours. City made only 115, despite Dow’s contribution, M. O’Brien taking six wickets for 54 runs. Marist in thenturn made 120, E. James and C. Scholium making 35 and 43 respectively. Seven of their wickets fell to A. McLean for only 35 runs. Details; ClTY.—First Innings A.
