AMERICAN BOMBERS 230 FOR SINGAPORE FIGHTERS FOR EAST INDIES (Reed. Fob. 22. 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 21. The New York Herald-Tribune says fhat Lockheed and Consolidated bombers ere being flown acrors the Pacific from Sa” D'ego and San Pedro and ether Californian ports to Singapore. Twelve former United States Navy pilots have landed at Batavia to be flying instructors, and 70 Curtis P4O our. u.'t planes, the latest United States Army fighters, are en route by sea to China. The Lockheed and Consolidated bombers have American civil pilots to Honolulu. ■ Two hundred bombers are involved in the present ferrying operations.
