JAPANESE WARSHIPS ■'DUTCH precautions (Reed. Feb. 21, 10 a.m.) BANGKOK, Feb. 20. It was reported in Bangkok yesterday that 15 Japanese warships were cruising in the Gulf of Siam. Hong Kong passengers said last week that 15 units of the Japanese fleet were seen rounding the Indo-Chma peninsula, south of Saigon and heading towards the gulf.

Meanwhile it is learned that the Dutch Legation at Bangkok on Sunday advised Dutch citizens to evacuate Thailand.

The British Minister in Bangkok has informed the Thailand Gove ™; ment that British subjects have not been ordered to leave Thailand. Th desirability of British subjects arranging for their wives and children to leave Thailand for the present has merely been suggested.
