STEWARDS APPOINTED

TEN NEW MEMBERS' (Special to. the,Herald.) WAIROA, this day. .A Well-attended meeting of the Wairoa County Agricultural and Pastoral Society Was held at f,hi Society’s showgrounds on Thursday afternoon to discuss the final arrangements for the forthcoming annual show. It wasf? reported that the grounds were in excellent order. A working bee was arranged for Saturday, January 25,.when it is hoped that all committee members will attend to assist in making the final preparations.

The following new members were elected: —Messrs. Carroll and Cooper, J. E. Peach, IL A. Kent, S. G.. Pettier, J. de Gruchy, A, t "jff. Parsons, ‘C, J. Browne, L. F. Joblin, and Misses M. Williams and J. Morton.

Mr. E. B. Shortt, Morere, was the' successful tenderer for the liquor booth, and the tender of Mr. J. Sca’rrott, Bay View, was accepted for .he catering an'angements. List of Stewards The following stewards were appointed for the various sections at the show:—Draught horses: Mr. Ken Wilson. Light horses: Mr. £>’. J. Macdonald. Cobs and ponies: Messrs. J. N.
