AGED 94 YEARS His 94th birthday was attained on Tuesday by Prebendary Wilson C&rlile, C.H., D.D., knowh throughout the world as the “Grand Old Man’’ of the Church of England. He itlll takes an active Interest in the ChuircH Army, which he founded in 1882, add which has since become a world-wide organisation. Birthday greetings Were sent him from the Church Army in New Zealand. Information was received in New ?ealaiid this week that the headquarters of the Church Army at Marble Arch, London, had had to be eyacuated after bombing, and that the prearranged plan for such an event had been carried out. This means that each departmental head his gone with staff to separate premises in different parts of London.
