FIRE-BOMB FIGHTERS
100,000 IN LONDON AREA STILL MORE WANTED (British Official Wireless.) Rcccl. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 12. More than 100,000 persons in the London region who have enrolled as fire-bomb fighters are stationed at private business premises. The Minister of Home Security, Mr.. Herbert Morrison, emphasised that the results are still short of requirements in many boroughs and that in every district at least one member in each family should volunteer, so that' not a single house, office or factory; building would be left unprotected.
