INQUIRY ORDERED
AMERICAN FOOD PRICES EFFECTS OF MONOPOLIES (Reed. Nov. 26, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON. Nov. 24. The Justice Department has ordered an inquiry to determine whether monopolistic practices have raised food prices and at the same time cut the farmers’ income. It says that 59 or 60 cents a dollar now goes to processors and distributors.
