EXPLOSIVES PLANTS CANADIAN PRODUCTION TRAINING PLANES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov. 2G, 2 p.m.) OTTAWA, Nov. 25. The Canadian Munitions Department announced that the production of high explosives exceeds one-third of the full output scheduled for the middle of 1941. It entailed the construction of 15 plants, several comparable with any throughout the Empire. Over 10,000 workers are employed in construction. The present programme provides all the necessary materials to fill all shells, bombs and mines manufactured in Canada and permits the export of large quantities, of explosives and chemicals overseas or to the, United States. AJI projects should be under production in July. Deliveries of single-engined training planes Will be completed 15 months ahead of schedule. After January the companies will be enabled to devote their full facilities to the manufacture of other types.
