Dr. A. G. Clark, Napier, has been called up for military service. Mr. M. J. Gronkowski, Masterton, celebrated his 100th birthday this week. He came to New Zealand frorh Poland in 1883 and still enjoys good health. Mr. J. L. Gilmour, of the Post and Telegraph Department, accompanied by Mrs. Gilmour, left Hastings yesterday for Tikitiki, where he has been transferred. Dr. W. Reeve, of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Hastings, has resigned to take up a position at the Rotorua Sanatorium. Dr. A. F. Marshall has been appointed senior house surgeon at the Memorial Hospital.
