The three-year-old Beau Leon, carrying 31b. overweight to secure the services of W. J. Broughton, was made an each-way favourite for the Spring Handicap at Ellerslie on Monday, and he won brilliantly, his time, 2.5, being only one second outside the course record of Round Up.
