TALKS BY PARENTS
CHILDREN OVERSEAS WEEKLY PROGRAMMES RADIO FROM BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 15. Parents whose children have been sent to Canada under the Children's Overseas Reception Board scheme are to be given the opportunity of speaking direct to the girls and boys in the Dominions. Princess Elizabeth’s message inaugurated a new weekly programme in the British Broadcasting Corporation North American service, called “for the children.” In part of this programme each week children from every part of Britain will be given the chance of hearing their parents’ voices and i-t is hoped it will be possible to let the children know in advance that some one from their own district will be speaking to them in the next week's programme.
