PARLIAMENT ADJOURNS PENDING LEGISLATION (Parlinmentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The House of Representatives concluded its brief session yesterday afternoon, adjpurning for a month till October 1, though the Speaker, the Hon. W. E. Barnard, has authority to call members together earlier if, in the Government’s opinion, this is desirable. puriosity wfis expressed by the Qpposition Leaded the Hon. Adam Hamilton, regarding the future legislative programme. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. E. Fraser, said the Excess Profits Bill would come down and also the Shops and Offices Amendment, as a clause relating to that question was deleted from the Finance Bill. There also was the Insurance Bill, now before a select committee. “It will be a short session again,” commented Mr. Hamilton.
