INTEREST-FREE LOANS

GISBORNE DISTRICT LIST TOTAL NEARLY £II,OOO DONATIONS ALSO MADE A list of interest-free loans contributed from the Gisborne and East Coast districts to the war expenses fund for the duration of the war has been received from the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash. The list comprises contributions made since the appeal was made by the Minister in March, but the date up to which the list was compiled is not indicated. The total made available from the Gisborne and East Coast areas, as shown in the acknowledgements below is £IO,BIO, while with the inclusion of the Bay of Plenty the amount reaches £13.735. In addition, there is a list of gifts totalling £144 4s 3d.
