POSSIBLE THIRD TERM
PLANS OF MR. ROOSEVELT NEW YORK, May 13, Increasing emphasis is given in many political quarters to the suggestion that developments in the European war will lead President Roosevelt'to run for a third term. National preparedness, Herr Hitler’s threat to world civilisation';- and concrete assistance to the Allies would be the issues on which he would compel the Republican Party to meet him. President Roosevelt is expected to make the vital point that any leader who does not dare to oppose America’s instinct, for, isolation will leave the country gravely unprepared to meet Ihe inevitable threat of aggression should Herr Hitler be victorious.
