OVER TWO MILLIONS
BRITISH REGISTRATION NATIONAL SERVICE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. May 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. The Ministry of Labour and National Service has announced that the provisional figures of men in the 27 years of age group who registered for national service on Saturday were 326,259, of whom 3439 were provisionally registered as conscientious objectors. The total 326,259 is the largest number so far registered in one day and brings the total under the groups registered to over 2,000,000. There once again has been a decrease in the proportion registering as conscientious objectors to-day, the figure being 1.05 -per cent of the total registering.
