UP TO 150,000 PEOPLE RED CROSS ESTIMATE (Reed. May 23, noon.) WASHINGTON, May 22. The Red Cross Society said to-day that its European representative, Mr. Wayne Chatfield Taylor, had telephoned that it “was his rough guess” that the civilian casualties in connection with the German invasion of western Europe approximated 150,000. “However, it was impossible to calculate how many of this total were dead or how many injured.”
