Water Supply

Sir, —We read a good deal of the Government’s use of the censorship, but it seems to me that our Borough Council is doing the same thing. It is completely blocking any information getting out to the public about our water supply. Mr. Bull’s figures, as published in your columns, look very convincing, and if they are right the Waipaoa scheme must go on the ground of expense alone, but more important still is the health officer's report, which was given to the council three weeks ago at least and not a word of this has the public seen. Public health, and public finance, the two things in which the public arc most interested, are kept within councillors' own breasts. And this from a Labour Council. “OPEN DIPLOMACY”
