Another MAX Victory N.Z. School Boys’ Health Diet Test includes Vi-MAX m Mead the Matron's aep©i?f 2 Read the report of the Matron of the School House of the Mount Albert Grammar School, Auckland. (These diet tests were conducted over three years, with modifications introduced as found necessary. The results achieved have created widespread interest.) “The first thing to be noted was the declining catarrhal condition, in some cases this was very bad. In specific cases the elimination was marked, and in the greater number of cases the condition disappeared. There was also a marked decline in colds and influenza. Colds are rare, and any cases of influenza mild. The measles epidemic (1938) which was so universal, was much more acute among the new boys, while, among those who had been in the Hostel for more than one year, the attacks were milder, and convalescence more rapid. There was a marked physical growth and development during terms of heavy school work and sport. “In some cases boys go through a period of indisposition for several weeks after entering. This seems to indicate that the method of feeding causes a certain detoxication period, which, when cleared up, does not return. In many cases this has been marked, but ' excellent health gradually ensues and is maintained. “There are fewer accidents, particularly in the football season, which would possibly indicate that the foods used provide the maximum of minerals and vitamins. thus ensuring a full development of bones and muscles, and a greater resiliency to.fractures and sprains. This is maintained during a period of rapid growth and physical development. “Constipation and bilious attacks are rare. Skins are clearer, cuts and abrasions heal more readily, boys are constantly active and virile. The results of the diet on the teeth have been more than gratifying, showing quite positively that the food is supplying the necessary elements for the formation of teeth and bony substance. The following extracts from dental reports speak for themselves.” (Then follows detailed reports on boys whose mouths have been found either free from dental caries, or where dental caries have been arrested.) Report taken from “Menus, Recipes and Why?” by G. B. Chapman. D.D.S. (Penn.), L.D.S., R.C.S. (Edin.), and Violet Lowe. This announcement is not intended to over-estimate the part played by VI-MAX in these important diet tests which have had such wonderful results,, VI-MAX was one of a number ©£ carefully chosen diet items, font was THE ONLY PROPRIETARY CEREAL FOOD USED. To-day’s huge demand for VIMAX proves that the public realise the value of correct eating, and appreciate the £act that VI-MAX is not over-re£ined or devitalised. VI-MAX is made from whole wheat specially selected £or flavour and protein content. Only the coarsest indigestible bran is removed, and extra wheat germ, rich in Vitamins A, 81, 82, and E is added. SERVE VI-MAX FOR BREAKFAST AND USE VI-MAX FOR CAKES, SCONES, PUDDINGS, Etc., recipes £or which are given in every VI-MAX packet and bag. Apart from the health aspect, there is no more delicious breakfast than a hot steaming plate of delicious nutty VI-MAX served with milk and brown sugar, where sugar is taken. VI-MAX is not pre-cooked under intense heat, which would destroy the vitamins, and therefore cannot be cooked in a matter of seconds. Every housewife knows that she could not properly cook anything made of wholemeal, for instance, in a minute or so.
