RETIRING OFFICIAL

NEW ZEALAND HOUSE FAREWELL CEREMONY (Reed. March 29, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 28. Mr. F. Sandford, the official secretary to the New Zealand High Commissioner since 1932, will retire on March 31. He will be succeeded by Mr. R. M. Campbell, the commissioner’s economic adviser. Mr. Sandford, whose career as a civil servant extends over 42 years, arrived in London in 1922 as an immigration officer. The staff of New Zealand House will tender him a farewell to-morrow ,'and a presentation of a writing desk will be made to Mr. Sanford. He will remain in England.
