STORE SHEEP MARKET LITTLE CHANGE NOTED Little change was noticed in the store sheep values at the Matawhero Stock Sale to-day. Fat sheep were a little easier, but beef values remained unaltered. Beef The beef market showed no noticeable change. Station cows were valued at £0 5s to £7 5s and finished Jerseys at £5 3s to £5 15s, with solid station veaiers to £3 4s. Prices:— Cows.—Or,e, Polled Angus, £7 7s; 4, Polled Angus-Hereford, £5 19; 3, Polled Angus, not finished, £4; 1, good Jersey cross, £5 3s; 3, good average yellow, Jersey, £3 18s; G, good, Hereford, on account of Messrs. D. and W. Campbell, £6 17s; 1, Holstein, heavy, £6 7s (id; 1, Hereford, good, EG ss: 1, Hereford, plain finish, £3 14s; 1, average, Jersey, £4; 2, good, solid, Jersey, £5 7s (id and £5 13s; 2, station, medium frame, £5 2s Gd; 3, Jersey, £4 2s, Veaiers.—Two, solid, station heifers, £3 4s; 2. medium, Jersey ,£1 2s; 1, Jersey, £1 10s. Heifers. —Two, station, £4 7s Gd. Fat Sheep The quality of the small entry of I'at sheep was average, and the demand was only fair, resulting in prices being easier. Ewes ranged from 13s 4d to 14s Id. Prices: — Wethers. —Nine, 19s 3d; 13, medium finish, 17s sd; 2,24 s 3d. Ewes. —Thirteen. 13s lOd; 11, 13s Id; 8,14 s Id; 14, 13s lid; 3,13 s 8d; ■3, 13s Gd. Lambs Two, heavy, 19s 9d. Store Sheep The store sheep market, up to lunch,, showed little alteration. Wethers appeared to be a shade easier, and lambs perhaps a shade better. Good lambs ran from 12s 3d to 1.4 s 4d and ewe lambs to 13s Gd. Fattening ewes made from 5s 8d to 9s 2d. Wethers realised 14s 3d for medium condition and 16s 3d for good 2 and 4-looths. Prices:— Lambs. —Seventy-seven, well-grown, good, woolly, 13s; 176, on account of Mr. Ceul Shanks, shorn, size and fresh condition, 14s 4d; 114, a Coast pen, shorn, good size and condition, 12s 3d; 55, shorn, fairly good size and condition, 9s 3d; 100, well grown, shorn, good condition, 11s; 46, shorn, good size and condition, 11s Bd. Fattening Ewes. —Thirty, fairly good teeth, good store condition, 8s 4d; 224. good fattening mouths, good store to forward condition, good slipe, 9s 2d; 37, fair teeth, good store condition, ss. Bd. Store Lambs, —Forty-nine, small and medium, 11s lOd; 92, fair mouth, woolly, small to medium, 11s; 34. woolly, good average size, good condition. 13s fid. Wethers.—Thirty-seven, fair mouths, medium to good store condition, 14s 3d; 202, 2 and 4th., big sheep in good order, lfis 3d.
