Bicycle Tours for Girls
Following the great growth in the popularity of cycle touring in America, efforts are being made by the recreation officers of the physical welfare and recreation branch of the Internal Affairs Department to interest girls in the sport in New Zealand. To enhance the social side of cycle touring as a recreation, encouragement is being given to the formation of girls’ cycle clubs. The development has been pioneered in Wellington, where several outings by combined girls’ clubs have been held, and it is proposed to extend the movement throughout the Domin&n.
