NEW ISSUE PERMITTED
LOST PETROL COUPONS PENALTY FOR BREACHES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Provision for the replacement of petrol coupons which have been lost or inadvertently destroyed are contained in the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations Amendment No. 3, which was issued with last night’s Gazette. A charge of 5s will be made for the replacement of coupons, and a statutory declaration will also be required before they are issued. The charge for this declaration will be 3s. The regulations enable the commissioner to recall coupons should the occasion arise and, by way of penalty for a false declaration, the commissioner may prevent a person from obtaining coupons for the duration of the war.
