BOOKMAKER FINED £45
A line of £45 was imposed on James Clarence Rivett, a fruiterer, of Whakatane, who pleaded guilty before justices in the Whakatane Police Court to using premises as a common gaming house. The police said accused was known as an honest bookmaker and was in a small way only.
