Aggregate of Unionists
Trades union secretaries throughout the country have to furnish returns of membership to the Registrar of Industrial Unions at Wellington each January, and secretaries now are busily engaged in compiling the necessary information. Whether the national aggregate will be less or greater than that of the previous year is a matter of conjecture, since some unions have lost members through enlistment, while others have gained through the arrival of artisans from Australia and England. The matter will not be resolved until the official figures are published.
