PACIFIC CO-OPERATION

AUSTRALIA AND U.S. SIGNIFICANT MOVE (Reed. Jan. 11, 9 a.m.) MANILA, Jan. 9. Australia is somewhat removed from the centre of the Far East diplomatic field, it adds, but is vitally important to the whole programme of Pacific policy-making. Australia will receive a trained and tried career man, not a politician. It adds that recent conferences between American diplomats take added significance.
