HERD TESTING

EAST COAST FIGURES DECEMBER—JANUARY GISBORNE’S GOOD PLACE Figures issued by the Bay of Plenty and East Coast Herd Improvement Association for the period ended January 2 are now available, and reveal that the Gisborne group stands well up in the list of producing groups, both in regard to group average and the highest returns from individual herds. The association average for the period was 8241 b of milk, testing 4.4. and yielding 361 bof butterfat, the total number of cows under test being 27,218.
