“LUCKY” AIR CHIEF
LONDON, Dec. 1. Air Vice-Marshal Richard Edmund Peirse, C. 8., D. 5.0., A.F.C., Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, has been made acting Air Marshal on his appointment to the Air Council. He is 47, son of an admiral. Several escapes from death have gained him the nickname of "Lucky” Peirse.
