AUCKLAND, Ihis clay. lleyvier-wcight cattle in a larger beef yarding at Westfield yesterday were not in demand and values eased, but prime light weights maintained late rales. < Extra choice ox beef made 375: choice and prime, 33s to 365: unfinished, 28s to 335: prime cow and heifer, 28s to 355: boner and rough. 22s to 30s: extra heavy prime steers, £l3 15s to £l4 15s; heavy, £l2 10s to £l3 10s; medium. £ll 10s to £l2 10s: light. £9 lOs to £ll 10s: unfinished, £6 to £9 10s: extra heavy prime cows and heifers, £8 10s to £9 15s: heavy, £7 5s to £8 17s (id: medium, £6 15s to £7 17s fid; light, £5 5s lo £6 15s; aged and unfinished, £3 10s to £5 ss. Bidding was not so keen for a full calf yarding and values were again easier. Plain and unfinished sorts were extremely hard to dispose of. Runners made £3 to £8: heavy veals £4 to £5 12s. medium £3 6s to £4 15s, light £2 15s to £3 15s, smaller £2 Is to £2 15s, small 17s to £2 Is. bobby ancl rough 5s to £1 10s. Competition was keen for a large entry of pigs, and a steady sale resulted at full rates. Choppers made £2 14s to £5 3s: heavy baconers £4 to £4 18s. medium £3 14s lo £3 18s. light £3 Gs to £3 12s: heavy porkers £3 to £3 ss. medium £2 12s to £2 17s, light £2 6s to £2 11s, small and unfinished £1 15s to £2 4s, stores £1 9s to £1 16s, slips 15s to £1 Bs, weaners 5s to £1 2s. Baconers averaged 6}d to 6£d per lb., ancl porkers G'jd lo 7,5(1. A full entry of sheep met a steady demand, wether values maintaining late rates and ewe values improving slightly. Extra heavy prime wethers made 26s to 275. heavy 24s 9cl to 265, medium 22s 3d to 24s 9c!, light 20s to 23s 3d, plain and aged 13s to 19s 9cl: heavy prime maiden ewes, 17s 6cl to 23.5: extra heavy prime ewes 18s to 19s, heavy 15s 9cl lo 18s. medium 14s to 15s 9d, plain and aged Is 6d to 13s fid. A full lamb yarding sold steadily at lule rates. Extra heavy prime lamb made 24s Ikl lo 26s 6d. heavy 23 3d to 24s t)d. medium 21s 3d to 23s 3d, lighter Ills Gel to 21s 3d. light 16s to 19s Gel, secondary and plain 8s to 16s.
