LECTURE TOUR
ARCHBISHOP OF BRISBANE On his way to make a lecture tour in the United States at the invitation of a number of members of the Anglican Church, Archbishop Wand, Archbishop of Brisbane and Metropolitan of Queensland, passed through Auckland on Monday. He will give a course of lectures at the College of Preachers, Washington. Archibald Wand expects to return in April. The consecration of a large cathedral at Dogura, Papua, had been a recent event of major importance in the archdiocese. Archbishop Wand said. Built of reinforced concrete, entirely with native labour, with only one white man to supervise the construction, the cathedral was larger than St. Andrew’s in Sydney, he said
