QUEST FOR COAL
FUEL IN~GERMANY (Reed. Jan. 8, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. The Zurich Zeitung quotes reports from Berlin stating that everybody is trying to procure coal in accordance with Field Marshal Goering’s decree that consumers must fetch their own heating material. Burning wood in fireplaces is forbidden. General Goering protested to the national railways over the inability to transport coal and adds that he will deal with the matter personally.
