THREATENED SHIP NEW YORK ARRIVAL AMERICAN ESCORT CAPTAIN’S COMMENT (Reed. Oct. 13, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 12.

The American steamer, Iroquois, concerning which the German naval commander, Admiral Raeder, haa issued a warning that she would v*. sunk under circumstances similar to those connected with the loss of the Athenia, arrived safely at New York with her 500 passengers at 9.30 p.m. last evening.

The Iroquois was sighted off Long Island, accompanied by an escort of destroyers and five naval air planes. Passengers were walking the decks unconcernedly.
